Aab is a very good place, the lunch buffet is a better deal, but the food is very good even when it is 14-17$ per meal. They do have a good serving size that gives good leftovers, and overall it is pretty healthy
I always enjoy eating here. I would recommend visiting at lunch for their buffet as it’s always fresh, delicious, and offers many choices. The mango dessert is one of the best items, and definitely helps to refresh your palate following the variety of spicies in the entrees.
What an excellent restaurant! I have been many times, and the food is always phenomenal! It's also quiet enough to have a conversation at the table. No loud music blaring!
Wonderful Indian food and a nice atmosphere in a cool location. We had aloo paratha, malai kofte, and paneer jalfrezi and it was all delicious. The malai kofte was probably the best I’ve had anywhere (and I have eaten a lot of Indian food, both here and in London). Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Columbus.
Good lunch buffet. Four chicken, one lamb, 3 vegetarian. Chicken Manchurian was the best out of all. It had the authenticate indian taste. The rest was made for regional taste ( much too bland to me). They did include ice cream and kheer as desert.
Aab's quality is peerless in the Columbus area. Premium quality at premium prices. A truly gourmet Indian experience if the mood strikes you. Aab really shines with their Lunch Buffet, truly exceptional food at mid-day prices. Beware they aren't afraid of spice, know your tolerance and be wary of anything above medium if you can't appreciate eye watering-ly delicious indian heat.
No wonder, i came to ohio for the first time and been to this place luckily. Great Service, awesome food and normal ambience. But i agree the food is pure authentic indian! Loved it.
My absolute favorite, to go or when I take friends to dine in!! No better indian buffet in Columbus and surrounding areas!!! Nan bread made different on M, W, F is a plus! Can try different chicken styles, fried veggies (pokura?) And, spinach, potatoes with surprise veggies, lettuce, tomato, red onions for a salad and dessert! You have to experience it for yourself. Only caveat, I can only vouch for Grandview location as the Bexley location just wasn't the same for me after being spoiled in Grandview (where I work and eaten for years, but I live in Bexley and will wait til the weekday to go rather than go to the one in Bexley, which is obviously much closer to my home.)
Very good food and service as usual! Nicely appointed restaurant and prices comparable to other Indian restaurants in Central Ohio. The only challenge is finding parking at 7pm on a Friday night, which is completely expected in Grandview. Good value and another good experience!
I've really enjoyed my food every time I've come here. I usually get the special chicken tikka masala and it is delicious. It has a nice creamy consistency that I don't usually get at other places. My only issue with this place is that the prices are pretty high for what you're getting. It's good but $17 for chicken and rice isn't something I will pay for often. There are sampler plates you can order for around the same price but you get so much more food, those are the best bang for your buck but I haven't personally ordered one.
This has been my favorite Indian restaurant for years. I usually order takeout as the dining area can get quite busy. The quality of their food and service is consistently above average!
I came in just after they opened. Everything that I tried from the buffet was excellent
I always love the food here. Great happy hour too!
This has been my favorite Indian restaurant since its opening. Still great!
I was raised on Indian & this place was absolutely delicious. The textures of each dish we ordered complimented the spices, and when bitten Into, the chicken had it's own flavor unique to it's sauce.
Absolutely loved everything. The sauces were stunning and the food was delicious. A beautiful setting and great service. Would highly recommend dining here.
My friend recommended it to us. The first Indian restaurant in Columbus that i've visited. We tried the buffet for lunch, which was fabulous, far exceeding my expectations. Like the curries so much!
Very delicious food. Good service. Their buffet has limited varities though.
Good value, big portions, we have lunch for tomorrow. Good quality for price. Good alcohol selection, except the mixed drinks are very weak! Go with wine or beer!
To my opinion it is the best Indian restaurant in Columbus. The dinners are great and come with unlimited rice. As a rice lover I really appreciate that. The lunch buffet is also great with a variety of food and for a very reasonable price. If you love Indian food you must visit this place.
We can order from menu or buffet and we chose to order from the menu and waited for 1 hour!!!!!! 1 hour!!!!! We ordered chicken tandoori and fish tikka. It tastes good but the meat is so dry! My friend says the onions are too salty!! I’m Chinese and my friend Korean.. maybe you guys should try buffet!
I went during restaurant week. I enjoyed my food and service, what I can say is I like spice. I ordered Tikka masala and gambled and ordered a spice level 6 out of 6. It was not spicy at all, the amount of cream used really overpowered any spice at all. So even if you want spicy and order the hottest Tikka masala it likely will have no heat.
Great experience and food. Want a treat? You will not be disappointed!
The food is painfully average. Word of caution, everyone we ordered our food on the higher end of the spice levels, they just stuck more paprika on top. Terrible representation of Indian food.
Nice environment and the food tasted pretty good except I ordered extra hot and I could barely taste a kick. I got the Aab Indian plate which was alot of food. My husband got the tandoori shrimp which was priced pretty steep for the small portion.I found a hair in my paneer. When I told the server, they were very apologetic and accommodating.
Very good buffet, as usual. Not too busy. Nice server.
The lunch buffet here cannot be beat. So good!
This place USED TO be good but they got stingy and started watering down their food. I am so disappointed I loved this place and now that I’ve ordered twice and both times it was watery compared to the last 20 times I am not happy. I will be finding a new place to go for my dish.
Great Indian food...and their lunch buffet is amazing for the money
I often take my friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is tasty and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we pass a splendid evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.
To my opinion it is the best Indian restaurant in Columbus. The dinners are great and come with unlimited rice. As a rice lover I really appreciate that. The lunch buffet is also great with a variety of food 🥘
Aab was always one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus, however, after my last visit I can't see myself returning any time soon. We waited 30 minutes for a table directly next to the door where 10+ people were standing and waiting. This clearly was a relatively unpleasant experience to begin with. After ordering our night continued to decline though. We waited around 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Our Waitress only came by once and did not offer any explanation as to why our food was so delayed. After we received our food our waitress still did not ask if everything was alright. When we asked for the check they gave us another tables and did not seem to understand any of the inconveniences of the night. I understand that working at a restaurant during a dinner rush can seem overwhelming however that does not explain the exceptionally poor service we received.
Definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve had. The place is very nice & clean. The service is very good as well.
I have been looking for good Indian food since moving back to Ohio. The staff were wonderful after I got there later than I should have to make it to a show at the Ohio theater. They sat me, took my order, and brought out the check immediately after I asked if they could accommodate my rush. I wouldn't have held it against them if they couldn't, they were so kind to have served me in a rush!Ordered the Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala, both with a 1 spice; I think next visit I'll get the 3, as I didn't realize it was a 1-5 scale.
The customer service is always fast, excellent atmosphere, helpful staff. Will visit again when I arrive in town.
Over rated Indian restaurant. The menu says authentic Indian food but there is nothing authentic about the food. There is no Indian taste. We have ordered veg biryani but it was like fried rice and charged 14$. Taste was not at all spicy. Samosa was only with potato and no vegetables in it. Tomato soup was not hot. Please remove the name Indian restaurant. It is not at all Indian food taste.
The buffet was worth it! The vegetarian dishes, Palak Paneer, salad, yogurt curry, naan, basmati rice, kheer, sweet lassi, was so good. This is a place I most definitely will visit more.
Saag chhole is best. Must try.
One of my favorite go-to restaurants in Columbus! It never disappoints, even the takeout is 5 stars. Every order includes our favorites of special chicken tikka masala and garlic naan, but then we like to mix it up and order something new off the extensive menu so we're always keeping it fresh. Can't go wrong with anything off the tandoori section of the menu!
Only got to do carryout due to recent events, food was wonderful. I ordered chicken biryani and chicken tika masala and it was alright had it ordered as spicy as possible and didnt tickle me. Rice they use is the short grain which i was supprised (every other place i ordered usually use long grain but no big deal) definitely will have to come back and order some more stuff as I only sampled a small part of their menu.
Went for their buffet lunch and everything was very tasty. It was a Tuesday and they were very busy which was nice because they kept bringing out fresh food. Great place for lunch since it is buffet so you can get in and out or take your time. When I asked the server about food allergies she was very confident and knowledgeable that none of the dishes had peanut. I appreciate servers that are well trained in their foods preparation. Will be back again!
The best food and restaurants to eat. Great food. Great atmosphere. One of the best place to go out with friends and family. Their food is very delicious. Must eat our place. 😋
A good Indian restaurant (but not for Indians as the spice level is very less). They offer limited varieties in buffet but all of them were good and fresh. The desserts were too good. Worth a visit
The restaurant has a good ambience, but if you are looking for authentic indian food, this is not the right place. The biryani, was soggy, bland and was basically a kichdi.
Just left this restaurant after waiting for more than 20 mins with no service after being served water and menu given. Okay I understand it’s a busy Sunday, another couple came in after us and sat down right behind us and somebody walked in and taken their order while we were still expecting someone to take our order. While we were waiting there were about three servers walked past our table without noticing that we were still not being served. We were so hungry and such ignorance just made us so disappointed and it was our first time going there and sorry it will be the last time. Now we are driving to another Indian restaurant on sawmill where you get fast service and good food.
I treated myself to a good book and solo lunch at Valter's in German Village. I had the Rueben.Unlike no other, better than Katzinger's, the house cured corn beef is served thick and generously, kraut and dressing and swiss cheese all in strong support. Randi recommended potato salad for a side and he was right on. Sour, perfectly cooked Redskins served warm were excellent.
Food here was very good. This was my first time eating Indian food.. But the service here is very poor took them 15min to ask what we want to drink. And they never come back to ask for a refill or how the food is.The server was very informative on how to eat the dessert and he went the extra mile to heat up the dessert for me
One of the best Indian Cuisine establishments I’ve been to! The Garlic NaN is fantastic and they ask you the levels of spice you’d prefer - unlike most Indian places I’ve visited. Highly recommend!
I have been here a number of times now, and have yet to have a bad meal. Everything is delicious and the staff are great people. If you can't handle too much spice, but want to get a taste for a dish, you can get it mild. Personally, I'm working my way up to spicier foods, but whether you're like me or can handle the heat, you're in for excellent flavor at any spice level.
we were really excited to go to the restaurant ,the time we enterted we thought its gona be amazing food looking to the menu and everything was perfect ambience menu design as it was mentioned authentic north indian after the food arrived all our expectations ruined.when we had our first bite of chicken tandoori it was like we are having boiled chicken there wasnt succulent flavour being an authentic north Indian restaurant on top of that award winning we were really disappointed we ordered chicken biryani omg i never had this kind of biryani in my life ever..it was was khichdi with green peas and raisins..i never give reviews or feedback but when you write authentic north indian people expect alot from you..sorry for writing but it was really disappointing.
